Chronology Of 4 Lampung Police Drug Prisoners Escaped, Broken Bathroom Ventilation

Four drug detainees from the Lampung Police escaped from the Lampung Police detention center. The four prisoners in the Aceh network drug case escaped from the detention center through the ventilation of the detention room after cutting the ventilation iron with a iron saw.

The four drug detainees from the Lampung Police escaped from the Lampung Police detention center on Wednesday, December 6 at around 03.00 WIB.

The four detainees who escaped were suspects in the Aceh network drug trafficking courier who were arrested by the Lampung Regional Police a few weeks earlier.

The four drug detainees managed to escape from the detention room of the Lampung Police detention center through the ventilation of the prison bathroom. The four detainees cut iron from the bathroom vent with an iron saw whose origin is unknown.

Based on the information gathered, before the detainees were found to have escaped, the guard had checked the detainees and found the complete number of detainees at around 01.30 WIB.

Then at around 03.00 WIB, a 7 cell room detainee called the guard to inform him that four detainees had escaped. After checking, the four detainees were no longer in his detention room.

From the results of the inspection, the guard found that the iron bars in the bathroom of room 7 were already broken due to being saw by the four escaped prisoners.

The identities of the four detainees who escaped were Muslims (36 years), Maulana (33), M Nasir (31) and Asnawi (29). The four detainees were drug couriers from the Aceh network who were arrested carrying large amounts of crystal methamphetamine.

Muslims were arrested carrying 30 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, Maulana carrying 58 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, Nasir carrying 30 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, and Asnawi carrying 58 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.

The Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Kombes Pol Umi Fadilah Astutik, confirmed that four drug detainees had escaped.

Umi Fadilah said four drug detainees escaped through the bathroom ventilation. The ventilation iron was damaged by the prisoners using a hacksaw.

"When examining the detention cell after the incident, the guard found three tools that were allegedly used by the detainees to damage the bathroom ventilation," Umi said in his statement, Thursday, December 7.

Umi Fadilah explained that none of the guard officers knew that the drug detainee who escaped from the cell had a hack.

According to Umi Fadilah, currently the Lampung Regional Police are still investigating the origin of the tool used by the four escaped prisoners.

"We are still investigating whether anyone is smuggling or what," said Umi Fadilah.

Furthermore, Umi Fadilah revealed, after the four detainees escaped, the officers immediately carried out a thorough examination. Then two bathroom windows were found in cell number 7 broken.

"There were 2 bars that were paid for them to escape," said Umi Fadilah.

Currently, the joint team of Tekab 308 and the Directorate of Drug Investigation (Dit Resnarkoba) of the Lampung Police are pursuing the four drug detainees who escaped from the Lampung Police detention center. The Lampung Police appealed to the four prisoners who fled to surrender before the Lampung Police took firm action.
