West Sumatra Police (West Sumatra) activated the Disaster Victim Indentification (DVI) Command Post to facilitate the search for climbers who are still trapped in the eruption of Mount Marapi. DVI is located at the Marapi Batu Palaman evacuation post. "The DVI post was centered to identify the bodies. It is possible that the damaged bodies could be identified so that when the handover of the bodies was not mistaken for people," said the Head of Sub-Division of Police Medical Affairs (Biddokpol) of the West Sumatra Police, Eka Purnama Sari, at Batu Palano Agam, Monday, December 4, was confiscated by Antara. Dozens of DVI officers opened a post and were immediately visited by the families of climbers of Mount Marapi who did not know the condition of their relatives until now. "The technicality of the officers collected the antemortem data, family, or relatives of the victims, asked about the characteristics of the victims to be matched at the Antemortem Command Post which was set at the Achmad Mochtar Hospital (RSAM) Bukittinggi," said Eka.

He revealed that data matching can take place in one day if all antemortem data is met. "If the body is not damaged much, in one day it can be submitted according to complete data, of course," said Eka.

"Currently, more than 20 people have submitted their reports. It consists of various backgrounds, including the nuclear family, relatives, or campus colleagues," he said. The Director of RSAM Busril admitted that he had prepared the maximum facilities for the Antemortem Command Post according to the request from the West Sumatra Police. "It is true, we have been contacted by the West Sumatra Police DVI for the readiness of the Antemortem Command Post at the RSAM. It has been prepared in our team, including forensic experts and supporting rooms," said Busril. Until now, the joint rescue team of climbers who were victims of the eruption of Mount Marapi is still carrying out the evacuation process centered at the Batu Palano Command Post, Agam Regency.
