Social Minister Risma: Doni Monardo Deserves To Be A National Hero

Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini revealed that the former Head of the Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Lt. Gen. Retired Doni Monardo deserves to be a hero.

This was revealed by Risma when she was present at Doni's funeral at the Main Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery (TMP), South Jakarta, Monday, December 4.

"Later there will be adjustments from the region, but it is extraordinary that he is. I think he deserves to be a national hero and Pak Doni is very humble. He doesn't want to highlight his dedication and his work can be felt," said Risma.

According to Risma, she has testimony that Doni is a good person and has proven to never discriminate between anyone. Not only that, Risma also felt very helped during the Covid-19 period.

"In fact, I often communicate about power and so on, not only PPE but he also helps, when we don't have the tools for PCR, he sends it and then we do it," he said.

Egy Massadiah is a special staff of BNPN for the 2019-2021 period.

Doni Monardo has been treated intensively in the hospital for some time. It is reported that he suffered from a stroke. The condition of the former Pangdam III/Siliwangi must receive intensive care supervised by a team of doctors.
