Prabowo Jani Adds IKN Development Budget If He Wins The Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto promised to increase the budget for the development of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) if he won the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

"He said he would increase the budget for IKN development," said Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 30.

According to Muzani, from the beginning the Prabowo-Gibran pair had been committed to continuing the government's program which was considered good.

One of the programs is IKN development. Related to this, his party also has no other reason to reject IKN because currently the government already has a law regulating the transfer of the capital city.

"Pak Prabowo will occupy the promise of law. The law requires us to move, yes, we will move," he said.

When asked how much Prabowo will increase if elected later, Muzani could not explain.

Muzani also could not explain how much the government is currently disbursing budget to build IKN.

Previously, Secretary General of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Habib Aboe Bakar Al-Habsyi stated that the Change Coalition would evaluate the government's ongoing program, including the issue of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN), if the pair Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar won the 2024 General Election.

"As long as it's good, it will continue. If you look at it (IKN) the development is positive because a large fee has been issued, because it has become a law, it will follow up well, but the evaluation will follow up later," said Aboe Bakarusi as a speaker in a discussion in South Jakarta, Sunday (29/11).

Aboe Bakar said that various programs that had been running well would be continued and improve various programs that had not been running well.
