JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) to take advantage of the demographic bonus in 2030 as an opportunity to provide benefits for national development.

The statement was made by the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah after attending an internal meeting with President Jokowi regarding the discussion of the demographic bonus at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 29.

"What the President has conveyed, we will get an abundant demographic bonus for productive residents until 2030. What must be done is that this demographic bonus provides benefits to our national development," he said, confiscated by Antara.

To fulfill this request, said Ida, the Ministry of Manpower must prepare human resources that have skills and competencies to be analyzed according to the needs of the labor market.

In this general expose activity, Ida reported the achievement of Indonesia's employment condition, which is now experiencing a decline in the unemployment rate at 5.32 percent this year.

"Then I also conveyed about the availability of the work market in Ready to Work, which is in the information system of the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower's work market," he said.

The Ministry of Manpower collaborates with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) to prepare vocational educational opportunities for job creation.

In addition, the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower has also identified domestic and foreign job market opportunities to produce global competitive human resources.

"Including the President mentioning how the job opportunity in Japan is. Earlier, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture also conveyed job opportunities in Germany. We identify that together," he said.
