JAKARTA - The Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka National Campaign Team handed over Rp5 billion of humanitarian aid to Palestinians. The assistance was symbolically handed over by TKN Chair Rosan P. Roeslani to iCare Director, Dr. Ahed Al Atta at the Prabowo-Gibran Media Center, Tuesday, November 28.
Rosan said that the assistance from Prabowo Subianto's personal funds was a form of commitment and attention from Presidential Candidate number 2 to mother and child.
"In accordance with Mr. Prabowo Subianto's commitment to paying enormous attention to Palestine, especially children and mother victims in Palestine," said Head of the National Campaign Team (TKN), Rosan Roeslani during a press conference at the Media Center TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Tuesday, November 28.
Rosan said Prabowo wanted to provide direct assistance to victims of genocide in Palestine, especially children and mother so that they could survive the ongoing Israeli aggression.
"And he wants to provide direct assistance to victims of small children and mothers, so that they can survive and the need for clothing and food is met," said the former deputy minister of SOEs.
In addition to providing personal assistance, the Minister of Defense also sent assistance to the Floating Hospital (RS) to help treat the Palestinian people. He emphasized this as a concrete form of support to help the Palestinian people's struggle against Israel.
"This will be sustainable, giving which is in nature to continue humanitarian assistance and others," explained Rosan.
Rosan added that the Rp5 billion aid that had been realized would be continued through direct or indirect assistance, through NGOs and the Palestinian Government directly.
"This will continue and this is a very strong commitment from the Prabowo-Gibran candidate pair," he said.
Meanwhile, iCare Director, Dr. Ahed Al-Atta revealed that the current condition of Palestine is still precarious despite a ceasefire. He admitted that pressure was still happening, even the possibility of war being vaccinated had occurred again.
"There (Gaza) full of pressure and war is still possible. While incoming aids are limited by Israel, the incoming needs are also not enough to meet the needs of Gazans there," he said.
Ahed also thanked the Indonesian nation for its assistance to the Palestinians, especially for the attention of Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto to the Palestinians.
"Finally, what Israel is doing has opened up a lot of cooperation and collaboration to help the Palestinian people when facing the aggression of Israeli brutality," said Ahed.
