Gerindra: Prabowo-Gibran Has Not Campaigned Because He Is Still Managing The Duties Of The City Ministers

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Gerindra Party Central Leadership Council (DPP) Adnan Taufiq said the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair had not yet campaigned on the first day of the 2024 presidential election campaign because the two were still carrying out their duties as defense ministers and mayors of Surakarta.

"Yes, this is the first day of the campaign, they also have a ministerial status, some are mayors; there are still some things that need to be resolved in their respective fields," said Adnan during the distribution of free milk and food activities in Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 28.

Adnan said that in the future the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2 will go directly to the field to campaign, including distributing free milk and food to children as an effort to prevent stunting prevalence in children or stunting, as one of their work programs.

"So, in the future, he can go down; because if he comes down, he must also apply for leave and others," explained Adnan.

He said Prabowo-Gibran had applied for a leave permit to campaign directly to the community.

"Yes, it's been, it's been taken care of (leaving permit). I haven't monitored it, but it's been submitted, it looks like it (gets leave)," he added.
