Deputy Governor Calls Prabowo Hopes Central Kalimantan Succeeds National Food Self-Sufficiency

Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) Edy Pratowo conveyed a special message from President Prabowo Subianto to the people in the local province, which is a hope for the national food self-sufficiency program.

He conveyed this to all ASN within the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government in a large rally early in the year after the 2025 New Year holiday which was centered in the courtyard of the local governor's office in Palangka Raya, Thursday, January 2.

"Yesterday I attended a national development planning meeting for the 2025-2030 RPJMN led by President Prabowo. When greeting Central Kalimantan, the President advised that the Deputy Governor, Central Kalimantan would be Indonesia's hope with a food self-sufficiency program," he said, quoted by Antara.

Edy continued, then the president asked all parties to jointly build food self-sufficiency, modern agriculture, good agriculture in a broad sense for Central Kalimantan.

"Because Indonesia's foundation is in Central Kalimantan. With a national strategic program, both related to Food Estate, as well as the expansion of only one million hectares of land for national food security, let's support it," he said.

The Deputy Governor believes that the implementation of these programs will provide many benefits and positive impacts on the pace of development in Central Kalimantan, providing double benefits or multiplier effects in an effort to improve welfare.

Edy said that the new year 2025 brings new challenges and opportunities for all, especially the provincial government, to carry out development optimally.

"Also there is a new hope and spirit for all of us, to become a better person, to become a servant of the state and a better servant of the community," he said.

Then, the Deputy Governor emphasized, as public servants, ASN is required to work with full responsibility, to continue to improve performance achievements and quality of public services.

So that mam'pu responds to the public's desire and needs for the administration of regional governments to be responsive, effective, efficient, and transparent.

Edy asked a number of things to be a common concern, namely evaluating the implementation of the activity program in the previous year, especially looking for existing shortcomings, to then take steps to improve.

"Also, continuing to develop capacity and innovation to increase efficiency and effectiveness of work, especially encouraging the use of technology through SPBE," he said.
