TNI Commander Says 4 Soldiers Who Died In Papua Have Been Evacuated

TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto said four soldiers of the Raider 411/Pandawa Kostrad Infantry Battalion Task Force who died in Paro District, Nduga Regency, Papua, had been evacuated and taken to the funeral home. "It was (vacuated) today, taken to their respective funeral homes. The four soldiers have also been given compensation according to their rights. "We provide compensation according to his rights. There are from (PT) Asabri, TNI AD, Bank BRI, Bank BJB. The amount is more than IDR 500 million per person," said Agus. The Commander also expressed his condolences for the incident. "We are all sorry," he added. Agus Subiyanto said that the deaths of the four TNI soldiers were related to the pursuit of the Free Papua Organization (OPM) in Paro District. "That was yesterday's pursuit that OPM killed the people in Paro," explained the Commander. The four soldiers who died were Praka warysan Ladou, Praka Dwi Bekti Probo Siniwoko, Pratu Miftahul Firdaus, and Prada Darmawan. The four of them died during a shootout with an armed criminal group (KKB) in Paro District, Nduga Regency, Papua, Saturday, November 25. One of the bodies of the soldiers who died, Dwi Bekti Probo Siniwoko (28), was buried in Madiun City Heroes Cemetery, East Java, Monday. The funeral was carried out militarily led by the Commander of the 2nd Infantry Division of Kostrad Major General TNI Haryanto. The late Probo Siniwoko who died in the task of getting an extraordinary promotion as an award from the state for his service to the homeland and nation, from the previous rank of head soldier to kopral two posthumous.
