JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) considers Bank Jakarta to be one of the strategic partners in encouraging the strengthening of the creative economy in the capital. This support is considered important to accelerate Jakarta's target to enter the ranks of the world's 20 global cities through the development of the creative economy sector.
The appreciation was conveyed by the Head of the Directorate of Supervision of the Behavior of Financial Services Business Actors, Education, Consumer Protection and Strategic Management Services of the OJK, Nuning Isnainijati, in the Joint Commitment Ceremony for the Regional Economic Development Program (PED) of the Advertising and Event Ecosystem which is part of the Jakarta Creative 2026 series.
According to Nuning, Bank Jakarta's involvement is not only visible at the implementation stage of the program, but also since the planning process to the implementation preparation.
"We would like to express our thanks and appreciation to Bank Jakarta for its support and contribution to the Regional Economic Development Program (PED), which is one of the flagship programs of the DKI Jakarta Provincial TPAKD in encouraging the strengthening of the creative economy sector as one of the game changers accelerating the realization of the vision of the Top 20 Global City," said Nuning, Monday, July 6.
He explained that Bank Jakarta actively participated in all stages of the program preparation, starting from the pre-Focus Group Discussion (FGD) meeting in April 2026, the implementation of the FGD on May 12, 2026, to various pre-implementation agendas throughout June 2026. This involvement is considered an important capital to strengthen collaboration between stakeholders in building a creative economy ecosystem in Jakarta.
"This synergy and collaboration will continue to be strengthened as a foundation for the implementation of sustainable cooperation in the future," he said.
The joint commitment ceremony was a follow-up to the Regional Economic Development Program sub-sector of events and advertisements initiated by OJK together with stakeholders. Bank Jakarta was represented by the Head of the SME Business Group, Bambang Nurcahyo.
The program is expected to open wider access to financing for creative economic actors while improving the competitiveness of the sector so that it can contribute more to Jakarta's economic growth.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for DKI Jakarta Province, Iwan Setiawan, assessed that strengthening creative economy cannot be done by one institution alone. According to him, synergy is needed between local governments, regulators, banks, BUMD, ministries, business actors, and communities.
"We hope that the 2026 Jakarta Creative Festival can strengthen Jakarta's steps towards a global city that is creative, inclusive, competitive, and sustainable at the gates of the five centuries of the city of Jakarta. This whole series confirms the strong commitment of all institutional elements in DKI Jakarta to jointly advance the economy of Jakarta," said Iwan.
