Compact, One Family In West Jakarta Steals A Motorbike And Brings A Toy Gun While In Action

The gang of motorcycle theft perpetrators, who are a family, have been arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kebon Jeruk Police. They have the initials AM, WD, ST, and AD.

Kebon Jeruk Police Chief, Kompol Sutrisno said the first arrest was made of the suspect with the initials AM. Then the police carried out developments to arrest 3 other perpetrators.

"The four perpetrators are part of a gang with a family relationship. They have committed 20 thefts in West Jakarta, with 9 of them occurring in Kebon Jeruk," said Kompol Sutrisno, Tuesday, November 21.

In their action, the perpetrators used a toy gun as a tool to guard against action, although there have been no reports of the use of these weapons.

"The pistol was successfully secured from the first perpetrator, AM. The perpetrator admitted that they broke into the key box using the letter T key and magnet, then duplicated the key to resell the stolen motorbike," he said.

In addition, the Police also managed to confiscate seven motorbikes along with evidence in the form of magnets, T keys, 42 keys, fake keys, and firearms-like toy guns.

Suspects AM, ST, and AD are being held at the Kebon Jeruk Police Headquarters. Meanwhile, WD is being fostered at the Handayani Center of the Social Service, East Jakarta.

"The police are still pursuing the other three perpetrators with the initials AR, NV, and SJ," he said.

As a result of his actions, the four suspects were charged with Article 363 and Article 480 of the Criminal Law (KUHP) concerning theft with the Weight and Assistance of evil.
