JAKARTA - Youth groups caring about the environment have again contributed to the cleanliness of waste. This time it came from the 'The Mulung' community who threw away two tons of garbage in 162 bags from Batu Koneng Beach, Ambon.

He said that this time The Mulung chose a location that was rarely seen and was not even touched by other people, and it turned out that a lot of garbage was piling up.

"Usually we clean up in hangout places, but this time we choose places that are rarely seen or not exposed, and it turns out that these places are even more garbage that has even mounted," he said.

With Mulung's activities again, he also conveyed to the public to raise awareness of the importance of environmental cleanliness by not littering, which could be that the garbage would spread to a place where it would not be exposed.

Not only that, Ivan also asked for attention from the government, by at least helping The Mulung in the form of facilitating personal protective equipment (PPE) and trucks to transport the garbage that had been collected.

"We still need PPE a lot, because for today's molung, we are so overwhelmed because shoes and sandals are embedded in mud," he said.

Apart from that, Ivan also reminded The Mulung to carry out cleaning in accordance with the survey and initial plans agreed together, so he asked, if anyone wants to invite cooperation to carry out cleaning in other places, it can be conveyed properly.

"We don't want it, when we have gone to the field to clean up the place we have agreed on, then suddenly someone asks us to clean up other places. This is our program, and it is carried out according to the agreement. We also do this for Ambon City," said Ivan.
