LGBT Geranati Spokesperson Claims NU And MUI Representatives Reject Coldplay Concert At GBK

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the National Anti Movement (Geranati) LGBT, Novel Bamukmin claimed representatives of NU and MUI strongly refused to hold a Coldplay concert at Gelora Bung Karno, on November 15.

Novel said that until now his party had not received a guarantee from the government regarding the big band concert. The guarantee in question is whether there will be a cargo or element of the LGBT campaign when the Coldplay concert takes place later.

"Until now there has been no guarantee. Everyone agreed to refuse, MUI refused, representatives from NU refused," Novel told reporters, Friday, November 10.

Novel also said that his party did not prohibit the holding of music concerts. However, what he rejected was dangerous for Muslims.

"I need to clarify, we are musicians, we love music, even Habib Rizieq makes lyrics sing. There is no band that we disturb his concert except Coldplay, except Lady Gaga, which really endangers the people's faith," he said.

Therefore, Novel continued, it would be better if the concert was canceled in order to prevent something unwanted from happening.

"Kia belum mendapatkan jaminan untuk tidak ada kampanye LGBT, karena yang namanya Coldplay sudah identifikasi dengan LGBT, symbol-symbolnya tidak bisa disusangkan. Untuk mengantisipasi, daripada bersekulasi lebih baik dibatalkan saja," tutupnya.
