Coldplay Concert Organizers Asked To Make An Agreement, No LGBT Campaign During The Event

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPD RI, AA La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti suggested that community groups and community organizations immediately meet with the relevant ministries and organizers to make a pact of agreement, that Coldplay concerts in Indonesia are not colored by the LGBT campaign.

La Nyalla emphasized that the problem was not the music performance but the LGBT campaign. He said it was important to build understanding through an agreement or a kind of pact together with the organizers or person in charge of the concert activities.

La Nyalla will facilitate through the DPD RI to bring together related parties through the equipment in the DPD RI.

"Later, I will ask my friends at the Public Accountability Agency at the DPD RI, for Monday to schedule a meeting of related parties. To ensure that the concert is not contained in the LGBT campaign," he said in an official statement received by VOI, Friday, November 10.

The audience was attended by a number of Islamic activists, namely the Secretary General of PA 212 UUS Soliudin, Spokesperson for LGBT Geranati Novel Bamukmin, KH Nursasi (Tokoh Betawi), Ahmad Yani (Granati LGBT), Endi KH (Granati LGBT), Ginanjar (Granati LGBT), Aziz Yanuar (Lawyer) and Abdul Halim (Chairman of the Bogor City Da'wah Council.

Previously, it was reported that the National Anti LGBT Movement (Ganati LGBT) would hold a demonstration regarding the rejection of the Coldplay concert in Jakarta on Friday, November 10, noon.

Spokesperson for Geranati LGBT, Novel Bamukmin hopes that the DPD RI can bridge his party with concert organizers (Coldplay), including from the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and the National Police Headquarters, so that there is a joint agreement regarding the LGBT indicated concert.

"We hope that there will be a memorandum of agreement that there will be no LGBT cargo at the concert. On Friday, November 10, we will hold an action to some of these agencies," Novel told VOI, Friday, November 10.
