The Attorney General's Office Is Looking For Evidence To Investigate Other Parties Involved In BTS Kominfo Corruption

The Head of the Legal Information Center of the Attorney General's Office (Kapuspenkum Kejagung) Ketut Sumedana said investigators from the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) were still gathering evidence to investigate other parties suspected of being involved in the corruption case of the BTS 4G infrastructure development project BAKTI Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo).

Previously, Jampdius investigators had named Member III of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Achsanul Qosasi as a suspect who received Rp40 billion in cash related to his position in the BTS 4G Kominfo case.

Apart from Qosasi, the name of the Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Mahendra is also named as one of the recipients of the money in the corruption case which caused state financial losses of Rp. 8.32 trillion.

"We are collecting the evidence," said Ketut in Jakarta, Monday, November 6.

Based on the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), the evidence consists of five pieces of evidence, namely witness testimony, expert testimony, letters, instructions, and statements of the defendant.

Regarding whether Jampidsus investigators will again examine Menpora Dito Ariotedjo, which relates to the confession of the defendant Irwan Hermawan in court who has given Rp27 billion in money, Ketut said it depends on the evidence owned by investigators.

"To check and raise someone's status as a suspect, it is determined by the evidence owned by fellow investigators," said Ketut.

The former Deputy Head of the Bali High Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the investigation into the corruption case in the provision of 4G BTS infrastructure and package infrastructure 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 BAKTI Kominfo in 2020-2022 is still ongoing. Anyone involved will be investigated. Investigators are also watching all developments and facts revealed at the trial which is currently still rolling.

"This case is still rolling, we'll see how it develops," said Ketut.

At the follow-up hearing of the alleged corruption case of BTS 4G Kominfo, Tuesday (26/9), Commissioner of PT Solitech Media Sinery Irwan Hermawan as the defendant said that he handed over Rp27 billion to a person named Dito Ariteedjo.

The money was not handed over directly by Irwan to Dito, but entrusted to his partner named Resi Yuki Brasmani and Windi Purnama (suspect).

Meanwhile, Menpora Dito Ariotedjo on Monday (3/7) said the issue of his involvement in the alleged corruption case of BTS 4G Kominfor Sumir and he did not know anything.

He also ensured that he would fulfill the summons of the Attorney General's Office to explain all information and to straighten out the issue which he called sumir on Monday (3/7) afternoon.

Apart from being questioned at the AGO, Menpora Dito Ariotedjo was also presented as a witness in the trial of the 4G Kominfo BTS corruption case on Wednesday (11/10).

In this case, Jampidsus investigators have named 16 people as suspects consisting of six people who have made demands at the trial stage, namely Anang Achmad Latif, Yohan Suryanto, Gelumbang Menak Simanjuntak, Mukti Ali, Irwan Hermawan and Johnny G Plate.

Then the two suspects are in stage two in the transfer process to the Central Jakarta District Court, namely Windy Purnama, and Muhammad Yusriski Muliawan. The case files of the two are planned to be transferred between October 16 or 17.

Seven suspects are still under investigation, namely Jemy Sutjiawan, Elvano Hatorangan, M Ferriandi Mirza, Walbertus Natalius Wisang (Article 21), Naek Parulian Washington Hutahaean or Edward Hutahaean (Article 15) and Sadikin Rusli (Article 15).

Furthermore, on Tuesday (31/10), Jampidsus investigators named the 15th suspect with the initials MAK as the Head of Public Relations Development UI.

Finally, on Friday (3/11), the investigation named Member III of the BKP RI Achsanul Qosasi as a suspect.
