Court Court Judge In Corruption Case At Arun Lhokseumawe Hospital

BANDA ACEH - Banda Aceh Corruption Crime District Court (Tipikor) conducted a field trial in the alleged corruption case in the management of Arun Lhokseumawe Hospital, which resulted in state financial losses of around Rp44 billion.

Chairman of the Panel of Judges at the Banda Aceh Corruption District Court, R Hendral, said that the trial process was carried out by examining each room, as well as checking various administrative documents of Arun Lhokseumawe Hospital.

"We had previously checked the physical condition of the building before and after," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 2.

The Banda Aceh Corruption Court conducted the examination to review the comparisons that occurred in facilities, services, and buildings from each side of the hospital.

In addition to seeing the physical condition of the building, the Banda Aceh Corruption District Court judges have also examined several medical equipment, medical facilities in several places, including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) rooms.

"We also adhere to health protocols not to go inside for the patient but we take all the videos," he said. After conducting a field hearing, the panel of judges is also planned to conduct a trial at the residence of one of the suspects, namely the former Mayor of Lhokseumawe, Suaidi Yahya, who is now under house arrest for suffering from a stroke. The disease made Suaidi Yahya declared not independent to be in detention.

Meanwhile, Director of PT Arun Lhokseumawe Halida Hospital said he only accompanied the field trial process conducted by the Banda Aceh Corruption District Court.

"So I'm here as a companion only. So the panel of judges just wants to see the changes, everything is recorded. Nothing stands out but specifically to see the progress of the hospital," he said.

Previously, the Lhokseumawe District Attorney named Suadi Yahya as a suspect in the alleged corruption case at PT Arun Lhokseumawe Hospital which cost the state around Rp44.9 billion.

In addition to the former Mayor of Lhokseumawe, the Lhokseumawe Kejari also named Hariadi, the former President Director of PT Arun Lhokseumawe Hospital, as a suspect in the same case.
