Cobra Serang Junior High School Student In Pacitan, Victim Taken To Hospital

PACITAN - The Pacitan Regency Fire Department, East Java, evacuated a cobra (ophiophagus hannah) who had attacked a junior high school student by spraying the victim's eyes and causing him to be rushed to the hospital.

"The victim has been taken to the hospital, while we evaluated the cobra after receiving a public complaint," said Head of the Fire Department, Pacitan Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), Sugito, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 31.

The evacuation process was quite tough. The firefighters who were deployed had difficulties because the snake was aggressive.

"On the one hand, we also have to evacuate. Because if left alone it can cause other victims," he said.

This snake can be caught and evacuated from the yard of Galang's parents, a junior high school student who was the victim, about 30 minutes later.

The success of the firefighting team in catching a cobra with a length of 1.3 meters also received appreciation from local residents.

The reason is, when there was a cobra attack that hit a junior high school student named Galang in the yard of his house in Ploso Village, Pacitan District, a local resident immediately went into an uproar.

Currently, this 14-year-old student is being rushed to the regional general hospital (RSUD) Dr. Darsono Pacitan.

It is suspected that the victim did not know that the snake in his yard could spray at a distance of one meter.

Residents also summoned the Pacitan Regency firefighters (Damkar). They evacuated the Java cobra.
