JAKARTA - The results of a survey from the Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) Denny JA in September showed that the electability of the future presidential candidate pair (candidate) and vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming won over the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD and Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar.
"Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka received 39.3 percent of the votes, followed by Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD 36.9 percent, then Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar 15 percent, the public who stated that they did not know they did not answer by 8.8 percent," said Director of Indonesian Public Images (CPI) LSI Denny JA Hanggoro Doso Pamungkas in an online survey release broadcast monitored via the YouTube channel LSI DENNY JA OFFICIAL, Jakarta, Tuesday 24 October.
The survey also noted that Prabowo-Gibran was superior in the second round of the presidential election when it was held, which was 52.5 percent. The achievement was 8.1 percent at odds with Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD's electability, which won 44.4 percent of support, while respondents who stated they did not know / did not answer by 3.1 percent.
"When we simulate it on just two pairs, it means that after the first round goes to the second round, then with two simulations, namely Prabowo and Gibran versus Ganjar-Mahfud are ahead in Prabowo-Gibran," he said.
In addition, the survey results showed support for Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming, many came from the voter segment with revenues below Rp. 2 million per month, which was 39.5 percent, from the segment basis of 51.6 percent.
"Then in the revenue segment of Rp. 2 to 4 million, Prabowo (and Gibran) again excelled at 39.3 percent," he said, quoted by Antara.
Meanwhile, he continued, for the voter segment with revenues above Rp. 4 million per month, most of them chose Ganjar Pranowo – Mahfud MD, which was 37.9 percent, from the segment basis of 12.9 percent.
Based on the education segment, the survey found that the support for Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming came mostly from the voter segment with elementary school graduates (43.1 percent) and voters with equivalent junior high school education (43.2 percent) education.
Then, support for Ganjar Pranowo – Mahfud MD excels from the voter segment with an equivalent high school (40.6 percent) education and voters with education graduates from D3 to above (35.4 percent).
Then, the second largest support from the voter segment with education completing the D3 and above was given to Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar at 27.8 percent.
"Public with a low level of education, meaning that elementary school graduates and junior high school graduates here are 60 percent of voters, so Prabowo-Gibran is most favored. Meanwhile, SLTA education is equal and above it is superior to Ganjar and Mahfud," he said.
The findings of the LSI Denny JA survey conducted on September 4--12 2023 use a multi-stage random sampling methodology with a face-to-face interview technique with a questionnaire. Sampling was carried out on 1,200 respondents with tolerance or error limits ("margin of error") of around 2.9 percent.
