Ganjar-Mahfud Registers With KPU To Register Tomorrow Afternoon, Departs From The Proclamation Monument

JAKARTA - Candidate pairs (candidates) and vice presidential candidates (cawapres) Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD will immediately register with the General Elections Commission (KPU). Registration will be done tomorrow, Wednesday, October 19.

"God willing, tomorrow we will register our presidential and vice presidential candidates with the KPU at 11.00 WIB," said PDIP DPP chairman Puan Maharani at the PDIP DPP office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 17.

Puan explained that the registration preparations were complete. This coincided with Mahfud MD's announcement as a companion to Ganjar in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"We are ready with all the requirements. We will register with the KPU and God willing, all the requirements can be accepted," said Puan.

Meanwhile, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said the series of registrations for Ganjar-Mahfud would begin at the Proclamation Monument. "Please pray for the blessing of all Indonesian people and the series will take a strong theme in the culture and identity of the nation," he said.

"We will register accompanied by all components from the PDI-P, PPP, Perindo, Hanura, volunteers, and also the people who will attend," continued Hasto.

As previously reported, the General Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri officially announced Mahfud MD as Ganjar's companion in the 2024 presidential election. This decision was taken after the contemplation was carried out and had a dialogue with the general chairmen and other figures.
