Acting Governor of West Java Beyxi Machmudin emphasized that the decisions related to the position of acting, including for the mayor of Cimahi, whose issues have warmed because they were removed, are the authority of the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian and his staff.

"For PJ Cimahi, I haven't received a letter yet, but regarding the PJ position, it is the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs and it is evaluated every three months with each year there is a re-election. So related to the issue (inflation) I don't know because that's the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs," said Bey at Brigif 15 Kujang Field, Cimahi, West Java, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 12.

Bey explained that for the regional head's acting position (PJ), there were indeed several directions that became the main concern when the inauguration was carried out, starting from inflation, stunting, and poverty.

"So indeed, it must be the main concern of the PJs, namely inflation, stunting, and for West Java, I will add garbage related to it," he said.

Previously, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian did not extend his term of office from Acting Mayor (Pj) of Cimahi Dikdik Suratno Nugrahawan, because he was deemed unable to solve the inflation problem in his area during the 2023 inflation control coordination meeting in Jakarta, Monday (9/10).

Didik sendiri menerima keputusan terhadap masa tugas yang tidak diperpanjang oleh Menteri Dalam Negeri (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian.

"Due to this decision (not extending), it did not prevent us from continuing to perform well, all services were running as usual," said Dikdik some time ago.

However, regarding his dismissal as Acting Mayor, he denied this. Because he admitted that he had not received a decree (SK) from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).

He conveyed that his tenure as Acting Mayor of Cimahi City will end on October 22, 2023.
