Accident On Cipali Toll Road, 2 People Died

PURWAKARTA - Two people died in a traffic accident at KM 75 + 000 B of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road, Purwakarta Regency, West Java.

"The accident involved two vehicles, namely a Toyota Rush minibus number B-1701-FIN with another vehicle whose number is unknown," said Head of the ASTRA Operations Division of the Cipali Toll Road, Sri Mulyo, in Purwakarta as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 12.

He said the accident occurred on Thursday morning on the Cipali Toll Road towards Jakarta.

The accident occurred when a minibus arrived from the direction of Palimanan to Cikampek, passing at high speed. Arriving at the scene of the incident, suddenly the minibus vehicle was suspected of hitting the truck in front of it.

Sri Mulyo said the accident occurred because the minibus driver did not keep his distance in driving. So that you can't control the vehicle until you hit another vehicle in front of it.

As a result of the accident, two minibus passengers died. Meanwhile, several other passengers, including the driver, were injured.

Furthermore, all victims in the accident were evacuated to Abdul Radjak Hospital, Purwakarta, for further treatment.

Now the traffic accident that resulted in the two deaths is being investigated by the local police, namely from the Purwakarta Police.

The accident was first conveyed by road users who crossed the Cipali Toll Road Traffic Monitoring Center Team, via phone call.

ASTRA officers from the Cipali Toll Road, namely patrol officers, rescue, cranes and medical personnel along with the PJR (High Road Patrol) unit then coordinated to handle the incident.

"We immediately evacuated the vehicle involved to the KM 92 BB Post so that there would be no traffic congestion," he said.
