Cases Of Sexual Harassment Of 5 Santri At The Balaraja Islamic Boarding School Entered The Investigation Stage

TANGERANG The police raised the status of a sexual harassment case at the Balaraja Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Tangerang Regency to an investigation.

"At the investigation level, we will continue to focus on the reported party. Later, when there is progress, I will inform you," said Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head Kompol Arief Nazaruddin Yusuf when confirmed, Monday, October 9.

Arief said that for now his party plans to summon the reported person with the initials N.

"We will hold pekara and (remission) to the reported party," he said.

Regarding the current investigation, his party has examined 6 witnesses in the case. The goal is to uncover the case.

"6 witnesses were examined," he concluded.

A total of five students are suspected of being victims of sexual abuse by Ustaz with the initials N at one of the Balaraja Islamic boarding schools (Ponpes), Tangerang Regency. The complaint was first made by one of the students' parents, the initials NA.

Based on the victim's story to his parents, there were already five underage students who were suspected of being victims of sexual abuse by the perpetrator. However, only one person dared to report.

The victim was a male student who was still a child. The obscenity was since last year, but it's only been exposed now," N said when confirmed, Friday, October 6.

He said the immoral case had been handled by the Tangerang Police. Even though his son did not become a victim, he hoped that the perpetrators could be punished severely.

"Because of that, the disease will not disappear. Moreover, the students will pay, so all of our children must be guaranteed safety," he said.
