2 Farmers With 210 Grams Of Cannabis Arrested In Central Tapanuli

NORTH SUMATRA - The Operational Team for Drug Investigation at the Sibolga Police arrested two farmers who owned marijuana-type drugs in Aek Muara Nibung Village, Pandan District, Central Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra (North Sumatra).

"The two perpetrators are JS (29) and ARS (25) who work as farmers, address Tebing Tinggi Village, Sibabangun District, Central Tapanuli Regency," said Head of Drugs at Sibolga Police AKP Sugiono, Thursday, October 5, confiscated by Antara.

The two suspects, he said, were arrested by officers, Tuesday, October 2 at around 21.30 WIB, in Aek Muara Nibung Village, Central Tapanuli Regency.

Sugiono said the incident began when the Sibolga Police Narcotics Unit received reports from the public about the whereabouts of two suspicious men possessing marijuana-type narcotics in Aek Muara Nibung Village, Central Tapanuli Regency.

After receiving information, the Narcotics Opsnal Team headed to the location to conduct an investigation and find JS and ARS were on a red-black Honda Beat motorcycle without a plate.

"The two suspects were arrested by officers, after interrogation they found evidence in the form of a large plastic package of marijuana weighing grossly up to 210 grams," he said.

Kasat Narkoba said the two suspects and evidence were brought to the Sibolga Police for further investigation.

This case is proof of the commitment of the Sibolga Police in eradicating narcotics abuse in the Sibolga City area, as well as prioritizing public security and welfare.

"The suspect was charged with Article 114 paragraph (1) subs Article 111 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum imprisonment of 12 years and a minimum fine of Rp. 1 billion," said Sugiono.
