111 Tons Of Mandalika MotoGP Logistics Arrived At Lombok Airport

A total of 111 tons of logistics cargo for riders at the Mandalika Circuit MotoGP event on October 13-15, 2023, arrived at Lombok International Airport, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

"This logistics is transported by a Nippon Cargo Airlines Boeing 747-800F flight number KZ6231," said Lombok Airport General Manager Rahmat Adil Indrawan in Praya, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 3.

The plane, which departed from Narita, Japan, carried cargo in the form of vehicles and spare parts for MotoGP 2023 riders. After being unloaded from the fuselage, this logistics was then transported by 13 cargo trucks to the Mandalika Circuit.

"Starting tonight, the logistics cargo for MotoGP 2023 arrived at Lombok Airport. It is scheduled that there will be four MotoGP logistics cargo flights this year through Lombok Airport with a total cargo of around 400 tons," he said.

After Nippon Cargo Airlines, there will be three more flights to the MotoGP 2023 logistics carrier from Narita to Lombok. On Wednesday (4/10) it is scheduled that two cargo planes will arrive, namely Atlas Air Boeing 747-400F and Nippon Cargo Airlines Boeing 747-800F.

Last Thursday (5/10) the Atlas Air Boeing 747-400F will arrive again.

We hope that the entire cargo handling process goes well and smoothly. We are also preparing to welcome the arrival of the riders, crew, officials, and spectators of MotoGP 2023. Overall, Lombok Airport infrastructure, facilities and personnel are ready to support the 2023 MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit," said Adil.

Regarding additional flights or extra flights at Lombok Airport during the 2023 MotoGP period, to date, there are 44 additional domestic routes proposed by four airlines.

"In the period 10 to 17 October 2023, Garuda Indonesia proposed 26 additional flights, Citilink 8 flights, Super Air Jet 4 flights, and Air Asia with 6 flights," he said.
