Megawati Is Strange To See The Rain In Kuala Lumpur, Why?

JAKARTA - The Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri admitted that it was strange to see Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the rain. Because, Indonesia has not experienced it for a while.

This moment occurred when he spoke with former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on Tuesday, October 3. Megawati was on a visit to Malaysia accompanied by her two children, M. Rizki Pratama and Puan Maharani who are now the Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

"In Indonesia, it hasn't rained for several months. That's why yesterday it felt strange to see the rain come down," said Megawati, laughing as quoted from her written statement.

This statement was made not without reason. During two nights in Kuala Lumpur, Megawati saw the rain falling.

Hearing that, Mahathir laughed and in the morning in Kuala Lumpur was sunny but it rained late in the evening.

The conversation then continued by discussing the city of Medan. Mahathir, who had just returned from there, said the area was bigger than Kuala Lumpur, especially the population.

He then discussed the matter of moving the nation's capital from Jakarta to the capital city of the archipelago (IKN). Mahathir said, this process is a big project and long term.

However, Malaysia has also done so even though his move is not too far from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya.

"In the past, Kuala Lumpur was short of breath. We moved the center of government to Putrajaya. Not far away, only 25 KM. It's different from IKN," said Mahathir.

Meanwhile, Puan had mentioned the development of transportation in Indonesia, including the Jakarta-Bandung and Jakarta-Surabaya high-speed trains. This conversation lasted almost an hour.
