Bobby Nasution Targets Planting Cables In Medan To Be Completed Next Year

The Medan City Government, North Sumatra, is currently implementing the Medium Program (Fitr Without Cables) which is targeted to be completed next year on eight roads.

"The Medium Program itself is to move Integrated Utilities Network Facilities (SJUT) from air to underground," said Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 26.

In addition to making Medan City more beautiful, this program is also expected to prevent and minimize the occurrence of danger.

Through the Merata Program, the Medan City Government is heading to all planting cables. In order to realize this planting cable, we continue to collaborate with all Telkom and PLN providers," he said.

This planting cable is not just putting cables into the ground. Because, when a change is made from the cable that has been in the air to an underground planting cable, the provider must also follow changes in the cable by the provider.

"This is what we always give time for. We have been socializing (planting cables) since 2022. This year, several roads have been carried out. The target is, hopefully in 2024 there will be eight roads in Medan City that have been completed," he said.

Furthermore, answering the question of the child who died allegedly being hit by an electric shock on Jalan MT Haryono on Monday (25/9), Bobby Nasution admitted that he could not comment.

"Later on, I will see the case. Later, if there are things related to cable or unlicensed installation, it will become a lesson," he explained.
