JAKARTA - The implementation of the departure service for umrah pilgrims from the group, which is centered at Terminal Khusus Haji dan Umrah 2F Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on the first day, Wednesday, July 1, went smoothly, safely, and orderly.

The implementation is the initial stage of the implementation of a centralized service to provide a more comfortable and integrated travel experience for pilgrims.

This service is an implementation of the Circular Letter of the Director General of Air Transportation Number SE DJPU 12 Year 2026 and the Circular Letter of the Director General of Haji and Umrah Maintenance Number SE-153/BN/2026.

In the initial phase, departure services through the 2F Special Hajj and Umrah Terminal are intended for pilgrims using Loong Air, Hainan Airlines, and Saudi Arabian Airlines.

General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Heru Karyadi said the smooth operation on the first day was inseparable from good coordination between regulators, airlines, Umrah Travel Organizers (PPIU), and all stakeholders at the airport.

"The first day of implementing centralized services at the 2F Special Hajj and Umrah Terminal went smoothly. All service processes, from the arrival of pilgrims, check-in process, security checks, to departure can take place well. We appreciate the support of all stakeholders who have ensured that this service transition runs optimally," said Heru in an official statement, Thursday, July 2.

On the first day of implementation, the 2F Hajj and Umrah Special Terminal served Saudi Arabian Airlines operations via SV818 flight which arrived at 16.00 WIB, SV819 which departed at 17.30 WIB, and SV826 which arrived at 22.30 WIB.

Heru said the smooth implementation on the first day was an important capital to continue the implementation of services gradually.

Therefore, InJourney Airports together with regulators, airlines, PPIU, and all stakeholders will continue to evaluate and improve services so that the transition process at the next stage runs more optimally.

"This first day is a very good evaluation for us. We will follow up on various inputs from regulators, airlines, PPIU, and all stakeholders as improvements to services in the next phase. Our commitment is to ensure that the implementation of services at the Special Haji and Umrah Terminal 2F runs better, so that every pilgrim gets a safe, comfortable, orderly, and memorable travel experience from being at the airport," concluded Heru.

PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney Airports confirmed that it would continue to improve service quality through the provision of adequate facilities, strengthening operational coordination, and service innovations that are oriented towards the needs of service users.

With the centralized service at the 2F Hajj and Umrah Special Terminal, it is expected that every pilgrim will be able to start the pilgrimage journey to the Holy Land more comfortably and devoutly since they are at the airport.
