Soetta Airport Customs Thwarts Export Of 60 Cartons Of Ginseng Drug Kianpi To Dubai

TANGERANG - Soekarno-Hatta Airport Customs and Excise thwarted 60 cartons of traditional medicine, Ginseng Kianpi, containing medicinal chemicals (BKO) to be sent to Dubai. It is known, the drug is a public warning from the Indonesian POM Agency for which circulation is prohibited.

We found evidence of 60 cartons, each containing 288 bottles. The total evidence found was 8,640 bottles. The total is Rp.872 million, "Head of Enforcement and Investigation of Soekarno-Hatta Customs and Excise, Zaky Firmansyah in his statement, Tuesday, September 26.

Zaky explained that the disclosure of this bottle fuss was based on surveillance, which received information that there were activities to send goods from domestically to Dubai in the form of large amounts of illegal drugs.

As a result, from the inspection in the field, Customs and Excise officers found that there was a submission of an Export Export Notification (PEB) for exporters with the initials of the PTNT company which was known to have applied for export activities through Soekarno-Hatta Customs.

"When the goods were carried out, the export goods were already in the PT JAS Export Warehouse, the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Cargo area," he said.

During his examination, Zaky continued, his party involved the Indonesian POM Agency to ensure distribution licensing or consumption to be traded.

"The goods were also included in the public warning by the Indonesian POM Agency so that their circulation was prohibited. The evidence found was then canceled according to applicable regulations and then handed over to the Indonesian POM Agency for further development," he concluded.
