Ganjar Relaxes Responding To Kaesang As Chairman Of PSI

JAKARTA - Ganjar Pranowo casually responds to the youngest child of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Pangarep as General Chair (Ketum) of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI). The presidential candidate (candidate) from the PDI-P (PDIP) even congratulated him.

"Congratulations to Mas Kaesang," said Ganjar to reporters in the Gatot Subroto area, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 26.

He admitted that he was not worried that Kaesang's position would be a sign of support from President Jokowi's family to the presidential candidate from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition Prabowo Subianto.

It is known that the party bearing the rose symbol is indeed intimate with the coalition that carries the Indonesian Minister of Defense (Menhan). However, PSI has not officially provided its support.

"Wong is the chairman of PSI, why are you worried. Being the chairman of PSI, how are you safe for Mas Kaesang," he said.

Previously reported, PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep admitted that his appointment as party leader could occur thanks to his special status as the son of President Joko Widodo. This statement was made by Kaesang after the PSI National Land Coffee (Kopdarnas) event which appointed him as chairman.

"Yes, private. Privileges are always there. That's it, that's it. I agree," said Kaesang at Djakarta Theater, Central Jakarta, Monday, September 25.

He admitted that his decision to enter politics was inspired by the footsteps of his father. Kaesang felt that he was able to follow Jokowi's track record, which departed from the position of Mayor of Solo, Governor of DKI Jakarta, to the President with PDIP support.

Kaesang admitted that he had spoken to Jokowi when he decided to join the party bearing the rose symbol. "My permission to take my path, sir. May God bless this path I chose," he said.
