Beware, Motorcycle Robbers Under The Guise Of Debt Collectors Circulating In Cipayung, East Jakarta

JAKARTA - A young man with the initials ZF (22) became a victim of a motorcycle robbery with the mode of fraud as a debt collector in Cilangkap Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta. The victim reported to the Cipayung Police on Wednesday, September 13.

In the report letter, the incident occurred in Gang Basuki, RT 04/02, Cilangkap Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta on Wednesday, September 13. When the victim passed, suddenly he was approached by 8 people who claimed to be from a company using 4 motorbikes.

The perpetrator came from behind the victim's motorbike. Then the perpetrator immediately prevented the victim's motorbike and blocked the victim's motorbike from the front.

"One of the perpetrators came down and informed him that the victim was 1 month late in paying (motor installments). The perpetrator asked for the original STNK with the excuse of matching the identity of the vehicle," wrote the report as quoted by VOI, Thursday, September 14.

Then the victim tried to contact the dealer and the perpetrator took the victim's cellphone from his hand. Then the victim was carried by the perpetrator to be taken to a dealer. But while on the way, the victim saw a package that had fallen.

The victim also informed the perpetrator. However, when the victim stopped his motorbike and got down to pick it up, the perpetrator returned to throw away the rest of the package in the middle of his Nmax motorbike.

When the victim was deceived, the perpetrator immediately stepped on the gas and fled with ZF's motorbike. As a result of the incident, ZF lost his Yamaha Nmax motorbike numbered B 5811 TMT, STNK and 1 unit of his cellphone.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered a loss of Rp35 million. Meanwhile, the case was handled by the Cipayung Police. The victim reported it with the report number LP/B/550/IX/2023 / SPKT / POLSEK CIPAYUNG / POLRES METRO JAKTIM / POLDA METRO JAYA.
