Bareskrim Polri Unloads Again Online Gambling Cases In Bali, 11 People Become Suspects

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police arrested 11 people related to online gambling cases in the Denpasar area, Bali. Of the dozens of people, the majority played a role in assisting operations.

"We made a disclosure, we made arrests and 11 people have been detained who committed criminal acts of online gambling," said Deputy Director of Cyber Crime at the National Police, Kombes Dany Kustoni, to reporters, Friday, September 8.

The disclosure of the online gambling practice case began with cyber patrols. Then, an in-depth investigation was carried out and led to the Bali area.

Thus, direct action was taken. As a result, dozens of suspects were arrested.

Of the dozens of suspects, one is the coordinator. Meanwhile, the rest assist operations.

"The coordinators are brother R. Then assisted by AS AP AL, DN, IF, Y, M, MH, MR, and PS. That's the suspect from what we arrested," said Dany.

In the disclosure, several pieces of evidence were also confiscated, including 12 laptops, 21 mobile phones of various brands, as well as one victim containing a SIM card.

The suspects are charged with Article 45 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 27 paragraph 2 of the ITE Law with a penalty of 6 years in prison. As well as Article 303 paragraph 1 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 10 years in prison, as well as Article 3 and Article 10 of the Law on the Crime of Money Laundering (TPPU) with a penalty of 20 years in prison.

Previously, Bareskrim Polri dismantled an online gambling headquarters in the Sanur area, Denpasar, Bali, on August 18. From the disclosure, 31 people were arrested and named suspects.

It is said to be the headquarters of online gambling because dozens of suspects manage five online gambling sites, namely, Hotel Slot 88, Auto Cuan 88, Jaya Slot 28, Oscar 28, and Sierra 77.
