Vice President Affirms Indonesia's Determination To Become A World Halal Producer In 2024

BANDA ACEH - Vice President (Vice President) KH Ma'ruf Amin stated that Indonesia is determined to become the largest halal producer in the world in 2024, so it is no longer just a halal certification giver.

"We are determined that by 2024 we can become the largest halal producer in the world," said KH Ma'ruf Amin, in Banda Aceh, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, September 7.

This statement was made by KH Ma'ruf Amin in his remarks at the inauguration of the Regional Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KDEKS) of Aceh Province, at the Anjong Mon Mata complex Meuligoe Governor of Aceh, in Banda Aceh.

The Vice President conveyed that the focus of the first Islamic economy and finance was the halal industry. However, so far Indonesia has only been giving halal certification to halal products in various worlds.

"We only give halal certification, so now we want to become the largest halal producer in the world," he said.

Ma'ruf emphasized that the presence oflands that have been formed in 22 provinces in Indonesia must be able to develop the sharia economy, and not only in the financial sector, but in the halal industry.

The vice president hopes thatlands in Aceh will not only limit themselves to Islamic finance, but will focus on developing the halal product industry, sharia social funds, businesses, entrepreneurship to increasing literacy education, as well as inclusion of the sharia economy.

Therefore, in the near future he admitted that he would immediately hold a coordination meeting between KDEKS to ensure perception. So that the presence of goodminton can revive the sharia economy, said Ma'ruf Amin.
