The Keruk Evacuation Ship For Fishermen Victims Of Capsized Ships In The Waters Of Bangka Belitung

A fisherman who was victims of an overturned boat then sank in the waters of the Air Kantung Bangka Sea, Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Babel), was evacuated by the Keruk 21 Singkep 1 Ship PT Timah Tbk.

Head of Public Relations (Humas) of PT Timah Tbk Anggi Sihaan said the victim, Malikul Akbar (33), was evacuated on Wednesday, September 6 in the morning.

"The ship belonging to Akbar, a resident of Sungailiat fisherman, Bangka Regency, capsized by a wave," he said in Pangkalpinang, Wednesday, September 6, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said the crew of the Keruk 21 Singkep 1 ship after lifting the victim from the waters carried out first aid by replacing clothes, preparing drinks and food, and allowing the victim to rest.

"Alhamdulillah, the survivors were handed over to the Babel Islands Dit Polairud Post to be handed over to their families," said Anggi.

The head of the All-Indonesian Fishermen Association (HNSI) of Bangka Lukman Regency is grateful for the rescue of the marine accident involving the victim of the traditional fisherman.

"We appreciate the alertness, concern that has helped our colleagues at sea, because when we are at sea we are all brothers and sisters, we know we do not know each other, we help each other," he said.

According to him, currently the weather is not friendly and unpredictable. For this reason, he appealed to fishermen to be careful when going to sea and must prioritize safety.

"PT Timah Tbk often helps fishermen, including helping fishermen who have an accident. We also continue to maintain harmonization and synergy with PT Timah Tbk because PT Timah Tbk cares a lot about fishermen," he said.
