Not Only Buying Planes, Lukas Enembe Is Suspected Of Shopping For Aviasi Company Shares Using Corruption Money

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that former Papua Governor Lukas Enembe transferred money from corruption by buying shares of companies engaged in the aviation sector in addition to buying private aircraft. This allegation was investigated by three witnesses who were questioned on Tuesday, September 5 yesterday.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said the three witnesses examined were the Director of Administration of PT RDG, Khoirul Anam; Mutmainah who is a private employee; and the Security Apartment of Kemang Nirvana, Yogi Handriono.

"It is also deepened regarding the alleged flow of money from suspect LE to a company engaged in aviation in Jakarta and abroad," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, September 6.

These witnesses, continued Ali, were also asked about the purchase of the Lukas Enembe plane. The information obtained by the asset is abroad, precisely in neighboring Indonesia.

"The three witnesses were present and their knowledge was investigated, among others, by the alleged purchase of jet planes by the suspect LE abroad," he said.

Previously reported, the anti-corruption commission suspected that Lukas Enembe had a private plane. The ownership was revealed after the KPK investigated the alleged money laundering crime (TPPU) he had committed.

The case of money laundering by Lukas was uncovered after he was suspected of accepting bribes from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijatono Lakka. Then, he is said to have received gratuities from other private parties who want to get projects in Papua.

In the case of money laundering, 27 of Lukas' assets were confiscated by the KPK. Among them are money worth Rp. 81,628,693,000; 5,100 US dollars; and 26,300 Singapore dollars; assets in the form of land and buildings; as well as precious metals.
