JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Environment Agency (LH) said that all of the money from the ticketing of vehicles that did not pass or had not yet tested the emission went directly to the state treasury.

"The ticket fine is deposited into the state treasury as non-tax revenue," said Deputy Head of the DKI Jakarta Environment Agency Sarjoko, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 4.

"The value of the fine imposed on each violator is determined by the District Court, thus the DKI Jakarta Environmental Service does not receive the ticket," said Sarjoko.

The ticket fines imposed on vehicle owners who did not pass the emission test are in accordance with Law Number 22 of 2009 Articles 285 and 286 with a maximum of IDR 250,000 for motorbikes while cars of IDR 500,000.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government said that the application of a ticket for vehicles that did not pass the emission test was one of the short-term solutions to reduce air pollution in Jakarta.

The raid ticket was carried out simultaneously at five points, namely Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan (East Jakarta), Jalan RE Martadinata, (North Jakarta), Taman Anggrek (West Jakarta) area, Blok M Terminal (South Jakarta) and Jalan Asia Afrika (Central Jakarta).

Previously, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Environment Agency, Asep Kuswanto, revealed that the location of raids and ticketing for vehicles that did not pass the emission test moved around every week.

"We are only in the early stages once a week, in the future the location will change. So that's not the same location," said Asep at the Jakarta Metro Police's Directorate of Law Enforcement Building, South Jakarta, Friday (1/9).

The ticket for this emission test, said Asep, will be carried out once a week for the next three months.
