KemenPPPA Asks Officials To Implement The Child Justice System Law In The Banjarmasin Student Case Of Tikam A Classmate

SOUTH KALIMANTAN - KemenPPPA asked the authorities to use the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Law (UU SPPA) to process the stabbing case by ARR (15) against the victim MRN (15), his high school friend in Banjarmasin City.

"We encourage the settlement of this case to prioritize the principles for the best interests of children and refer to the SPPA Law," said Deputy for Child Protection at the Ministry of PPPA, Nahar, when contacted Wednesday, August 2, as quoted by Antara.

Nahar said, after the incident, the South Kalimantan Women and Children Protection Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD PPA), the UPTD PPA Banjarmasin City, and the South Kalimantan Education Office had reached out to schools for monitoring and asking for clarification.

UPTD PPA South Kalimantan and UPTD PPA Banjarmasin City also reached out to child perpetrators languishing in the Banjarmasin Polrestabes for legal assistance.

"UPTD PPA South Kalimantan and UPTD PPA Banjarmasin City coordinate with the Police, outreach child victims at the hospital," said Nahar.

Nahar added that all costs for treating victims were borne by the Health Office and the South Kalimantan PPPA Office.

Previously, there had been acts of severe abuse with the perpetrator and the victim who were both still children in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.

The incident that occurred on Monday, July 31 morning, in a high school high school classroom in Banjarmasin, began with child perpetrator A (15) who came to the child victim M (15) who was in the back of the class.

The perpetrator then assaulted the victim using the sharp weapon he was carrying. As a result of the incident, the victim's right shoulder and left side were injured.

Furthermore, the perpetrator was taken by the school to the Banjarmasin City Police for safekeeping. Meanwhile, the victim was immediately rushed to Ulin Banjarmasin Hospital for medical treatment.
