TANGERANG - An elderly man named Sinin (67) was found dead after being plunged into a 15 meter deep well at his home, on Jalan Gunung Indah, Cirende, Ciputat, South Tangerang. Head of Emergency and Logistics BPBD Tangsel M Faridzal Gumay said the incident occurred on Monday, July 31, at 16.15 WIB.

"The victim died in a well. The cause was human error," said Gumay in a short message, Monday, July 31.

Gumay said that the incident started when the victim was repairing a water machine in the middle of the well with a sarong. However, in the process, the sarong attached to his body was as a focus, not strong enough to hold it so that the victim fell.

The victim was repairing the water machine in the middle of the well, with a sarong aid on it to get to the water machine. It turned out that the bond made for the foundation was not strong. And finally the victim fell into the well," he explained.

Officers received the report at 20.57 WIB, and immediately dispatched a number of personnel to evacuate. But unfortunately, when the victim's life could not be saved.

"The victim was successfully removed in a lifeless condition. The body was not taken to the hospital and immediately taken care of by the family," he concluded.
