JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area (DPRKP) Office has summoned the owner of the Rp0 DP House who rented the unit into boarding houses. The party present is the husband of the unit owner named Herlan.

In today's clarification process, Acting Head of DKI Jakarta DPRKP Retno Sulistyaningrum explained that Herlan admitted that he and his wife were guilty of marketing their homes as boarding houses since last June 16.

"Since September 2021, the owner has not occupied the residence continuously due to the birth of his first son, so he returned to his parents' house in Cipulir, South Jakarta," Retno told reporters, Friday, June 23.

Then, in March 2023, Herlan no longer worked because he got layoffs. This, he admitted, had an effect on his family's income. Meanwhile, his wife's income continues to be used to pay mortgage installments for IDR 0 DP House automatically from savings.

"Due to this condition, the person concerned has intended to stop the residential mortgage and has sought information on the procedure from the Matraman branch of Bank DKI," said Retno.

The cost of living needs is felt even heavier by Harlan's family. That's why Harlan and his wife intend to sign their Rp0 DP House unit and market it through social media as additional income.

"Based on the information provided, the DKI DPRKP Housing Fund Management Unit has conveyed information about the consequences of stopping the FPPR mortgage if it is submitted before the tenor ends," explained Retno.

"The person concerned understands and is aware of the consequences. However, due to the inability to pay the mortgage installments, it will be immediately submitted in writing the application for the termination of the FPPR mortgage for this residence to Bank DKI Matramanan Branch and stated that he could not occupy the residence again," he added.

Furthermore, Retno admitted that his party could not impose administrative sanctions on Harlan and his wife because they were no longer able to return to their homes.

Furthermore, the DKI DPRKP will coordinate with Bank DKI and Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya as developers for the buyback process based on the residence.
