JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin supports the institutional strengthening of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) which has worked optimally in solving various problems related to children in Indonesia.

"I agree that the KPAI is strengthened for its institution," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin when receiving KPAI management at the Vice President's Palace, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 20.

The Vice President emphasized that one of the current government's focuses is to produce high competitive human resources both at the national and global levels.

"We really want to build superior human resources, which are able to compete, both at the national and global levels. Of course, healthy, intelligent, with integrity, children like that are prepared in the future," he said.

In addition, the Vice President also expressed his appreciation to KPAI for contributing greatly to child protection and resolving various cases of children.

Meanwhile, KPAI Chairman Ai Maryati Solihah conveyed that KPAI is fully committed to moving with the government in overseeing and supervising various events that occur in Indonesian children, including violence against children and neglected children.

"We will also continue to function as mediators, mediate with many cases, such as disputes over child custody of victims of divorce, neglected children, and children who cannot meet their parents," he said.

In addition, Badminton said that KPAI also fully supports efforts to reduce stunting, especially in welcoming Indonesia Gold 2045 through collaborative steps, both with the Secretariat of the Vice President (Setwapres) and related ministries/agencies.
