BMKG: Most Of Indonesia Will Be Sunny And Cloudy Today

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that most of the provincial capital areas in Indonesia on Saturday 10 June 2023 will be dominated by cloudy weather. Quoted from Antara, BMKG said the provincial capitals that are predicted to be cloudy are Banda Aceh, Bengkulu, Bandung, Semarang, Banjarmasin, Samarinda, Tanjung Pinang, Bandar Lampung, Ambon, Mataram, Jayapura City, Mamuju, and Makassar. Meanwhile, several potentially cloudy areas are Denpasar, Serang, Yogyakarta, Central Jakarta, Jambi, Pontianak, Tarakan, Pangkal Pinang, Padang, Palembang, and Medan. The city of Gorontalo is predicted to be sunny with a temperature of 23-33 degrees Celsius, as well as Surabaya which is potentially sunny with a temperature of 24-34 degrees Celsius. BMKG warned the public in Medan City to be aware of heavy rains that are predicted to occur at night with humidity 60-95.

Meanwhile, some areas also have the potential to experience light rain such as Palangka Raya, Kupang, Manokwari, Kendari, and Manado. Light rain at night is also predicted to occur in Pontianak, Tarakan, Ambon, Pekanbaru, Mamuju, and Palembang areas. BMKG also gave early warnings and asked the public to be aware of the potential for sea wave heights that can reach 2.5-4 m in the West Indian Ocean Lampung and the South Indian Ocean Java-Bali.
