JAKARTA - Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin said that his party deployed thousands of Satpol PP ranks to maintain security and order during the homecoming season until Eid Al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah. "If Satpol PP personnel are on standby, the total number on standby is different. Today, person A, tomorrow B, takes turns, there are approximately 2,500 personnel," Arifin told reporters, Wednesday, April 12. With the alerting of thousands of personnel, it is certain that they will not get a day off and off from work, so they cannot go back to their hometowns on Eid al-Fitr. "Indeed, our task every year is that Eid is not on leave because Satpol PP is assigned to various places every Eid al-Fitr," said Arifin. During the holiday, the Satpol PP will monitor recreational areas and public spaces that are crowded with people who are visited on vacation from morning to evening. "The main recreation area is Ragunan, in Taman Mini, in Ancol, Kota Tua, even in Lake Sunter or in public spaces, we are here to ensure the security of regular order is maintained," he said. Then, in the evening, the Satpol PP ranks patrolled residential areas. As is known, ahead of Lebaran, many houses were empty because residents left for homecoming to their hometowns.
