Discussing IDR 349 Billion Of Odd Transactions, Benny Harman Even Remembers Mahfud MD Wearing White Shirts Ready To Become Vice Presidential Candidates

Member of Commission III of the DPR Benny K Harman mentioned Mahfud MD who was already wearing a white shirt ready to become a vice presidential candidate (Cawapres) to accompany Joko Widodo in 2019.

This was conveyed by Benny Harman in response to Mahfud MD's statement which had insinuated him and members of Commission III of the DPR in a meeting to discuss odd transactions at the Ministry of Finance worth Rp. 349 trillion at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 29.

"I still remember Mr. Mahfud having prepared a white shirt, right? But that was the first time. I talked about the previous one. Like Mr. Mahfud said, the member of the council earlier, that was the first time," said Benny at the meeting.

Benny suspects Mahfud is looking for a political stage in the polemic of transactions of IDR 349 trillion. According to Benny, this is not a problem because Mahfud deserves to run as a vice presidential candidate.

"Until someone says, maybe, Mr. Mahfud wants to make this a stage for vice president or presidential candidate. For me it's normal. If that's the case, I say it's his right," said Benny.

Benny said that such allegations emerged because Mahfud had not explained transparently and was really open about transactions of IDR 349 trillion.

"My thoughts are varied. So these kinds of things appeared, making me have an assessment of Mr. Mahfud. Interpretation of what he did," said Benny.
