PDIP Closes The DOOR Of Cooperation With The Change Coalition

The PDI-P (PDIP) has ensured that it will not cooperate with the Change Coalition, which consists of the NasDem Party, Democratic Party, and PKS. They do not want to carry the figure who became the antitesta of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"Yes, because the factors are antitheses of Mr. Jokowi, (PDIP, ed) it is impossible to join," said PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Thursday, February 23.

Hasto said the possibility of joining the coalition was clearly closed. Moreover, they carried former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswesan as a presidential candidate in the 202 Presidential Election (Pilpres) who was not in accordance with President Jokowi.

"We are clearly different from NasDem, Democrat, and PKS who have carried Mr. Anies Baswedan," he said.

The antithesis, said Hasto, was proven when Anies led Jakarta. According to him, there was no continuity of development in the capital city when Anies continued the leadership of the Jokowi and Basuki Tjahjapurnama eras.

"We see that from Jakarta there is no continuity, Mas Djarot (Djarot Saiful Hidayat) is a witness, where there is continuity," he said.

"The governor alone has anti-tested, many of Pak Jokowi's policies have not been continued, especially later on, policies for the bigger ones," added Hasto.

Instead of joining the Development Coalition, PDIP prefers to cooperate with parties that encourage the spirit of mutual cooperation.

Meanwhile, regarding the presidential and vice presidential pairs that will be carried out, Hasto said, discussions will be held later. However, everything will certainly be together.

"We will cooperate with other parties and then encourage the spirit of mutual cooperation, it's just a matter of who the presidential and vice presidential candidates will be," he concluded.
