Reveals The Death Of A Toddler Victim Of Abuse In Pasar Rebo, Police Secure 3 Family Members

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) has arrested three people in one family in relation to the death of a toddler with the initials AF (2) in a house in the Pekayon area, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta. The three were allegedly involved in the persecution of victims of AF.

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budi Sartono said the party did not yet know in detail what the injuries were on AF's body. Because until now we are still waiting for the results of the autopsy examination of the victim's body.

"The results of the post-mortem examination have not yet come out, but what is certain is that while there is persecution. But who (the perpetrators) and others will be after the investigation," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budi Sartono when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, January 19.

Even though they have secured three of their closest relatives, the police have not been able to conclude who was the perpetrator who had the heart to abuse the toddler.

"It is still being developed by PPA investigators. We will convey the complete completion later. There are three people still being investigated," he said.

The three people are still undergoing in-depth examination at the East Jakarta Metro Police PPA Unit. If the results of the examination find the perpetrator involved in the abuse, the investigator will immediately determine the suspect.

"What is clear is that we have secured it, we are interrogating one by one. There are allegations of abuse. The three people are from the next of kin. They are currently still at the BAP and are still being interrogated," he said.

Previously it was reported that a toddler girl with the initials AF (2) was found dead in an allegedly unnatural condition at the Pasar Rebo District Health Center, East Jakarta. The toddler was suspected of being a victim of abuse before being taken to the public health center.

The toddler is known to live with a family in RT 05/01, Pekayon Village, Pasar Rebo District. According to the local RT head, Sudiyono, this family has been living in a rented house since 2021. They rarely socialize.

"Having lived here since 2021. He lacks socialization, sells gasoline, and is a driver, leaving early in the morning and coming back in the afternoon," Sudiyono told reporters, Wednesday, January 18.

Sudiyono added that he found out when the victim was already at the public health center.

"Last night, as far as I know, the body was already at the public health center, I was just notified. After I went there, it turned out that this child had died. I checked that there was indeed suspicion that this child had died unnaturally. Finally, the police arrived," he said.
