Illegal Buildings In Cipinang Besar, East Jakarta, Are Demolished By Satpol PP

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta City Government has cleared 59 illegal buildings on IPN Street Kebon Nanas, Cipinang Besar Selatan, Jatinegara District. Assistant for Economic Affairs and Development of the East Jakarta City Government, Kusmanto, said that before the enforcement was carried out, his party had issued warning letters (SP) I, II, and III.

“The building that is here is without permission. Then it is on the river bank and the land that is being used is a government asset," Kusmanto said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 12.

Kusmanto added that the control involved joint officers from Satpol PP, PPSU, TNI-Polri.

He said the control was carried out for the Ciliwung River sewer outlet project and the widening of the Cipinang River. Residents whose homes were affected by the project were relocated to North Cipinang Besar Flats (CBU).

"The results of the data collection show that there are 26 families (heads of families) who are ready to be relocated to North Cipinang Besar Flats (Cibesut)," said Kusmanto.

Jatinegara Sub-District Head, Muchtar said that his party is continuing to collect data on residents affected by the Ciliwung River sewer project so they can be relocated.

Based on temporary data, there were 16 families affected by the law enforcement who were relocated to North Cipinang Besar Flats.

"We are ready to facilitate and help residents to enter the Cibesut flat," said Muchtar.
