Today PKB-Gerindra Register To KPU, Prabowo And Cak Imin Will Parade Together

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) and Gerindra Party will register as participants in the 2024 General Election (Election) to the General Elections Commission (KPU) today, Monday, August 8. The two parties will depart together from the Sunda Kelapa Mosque, Central Jakarta.

"We want the joint registration of the two parties to participate in the 2024 General Election to be a starting point for more constructive political cooperation in the future. So we want to start the departure from the Sunda Kelapa Mosque and then together go to the KPU Office," said Deputy Secretary General of PKB Syaiful Huda in a written statement, Monday, August 8.

Later, the cadres of the two parties will join the procession from the Sunda Kelapa Mosque to the KPU. The marching band that sings the song of struggle will enliven the atmosphere.

PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin and Gerindra Party Chair Prabowo Subianto are scheduled to join the parade before entering the KPU.

"The registration of Gerindra and PKB as participants in this election will be led directly by Mr. Prabowo and Gus Muhaimin. This is also a sign of the increasingly serious political cooperation of the two parties," said Syaiful.

After the registration is complete, the two party leaders will hold a press conference. They will convey various strategic issues related to the cooperation between Gerindra and PKB in facing the 2024 General Election.

"Later, Mr. Bowo and Gus Muhaimin will deliver a joint statement regarding political cooperation between the two parties in facing the 2024 General Election," he said.

Furthermore, Syaiful also explained the reason for choosing the Sunda Kelapa Mosque as the departure point. According to him, there are various meanings between these two parties that the political cooperation that occurs can bring many benefits to the people.

Not only that, but this mosque is also considered to have an inspiring philosophy. Moreover, the Sunda Kelapa Mosque in the shape of a boat symbolizes the port of Sunda Kelapa which was once a famous place for trading and spreading the religion of Islam at that time.

"The starting point of the mosque is also to remind Gerindra and PKB cadres that political struggle is the implementation of noble religious values so that we humans always try to create greater opportunities for the benefit of the Indonesian people," concluded Syaiful.
