"Alhamdulillah, Babel from eight provinces in Indonesia has been designated as a provincial province," said the Regional Secretary for the Babel Islands Provincial Government, Naziarto in Pangkalpinang, Sunday, July 24.
He said the PPPA Ministry this year gave Provila awards to eight provinces, namely Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung Islands, Lampung, Banten, DKI Jakarta, Central Java, Yogyakarta Special Region, and East Java.
"Babel's recognition and award as Province are of course through a long evaluation process that is carried out objectively," he said, as quoted by Antara.
According to him, the PPPA Ministry's KLA appreciation program for this local government is to support efforts to fulfill children's rights and special protection for children.
"This is an important part of realizing Child-friendly Indonesia (IDOLA) in 2030," he said.
He stated that this provincial award is a special gift, especially for the children of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic who are facing various problems, such as parenting problems for children whose parents are positive for COVID-19 or who have died.
"We are very grateful, because, after a long journey and struggles that are certainly not easy, Babel has finally been named one of the eight provinces that received the KLA Award in the Provila Category," he said.
