Already Met Erick Thohir, Gibran Ensures Angkasa Pura, PLN And Telkom Become ASEAN Para Games Sponsors

SOLO - Chairman of the Indonesia ASEAN Para Games Organizing Committee (INASPOC) 2022, Gibran Rakabuming Raka ensured that several state-owned enterprises (BUMN) are ready to sponsor the ASEAN Para Games (APG) in August.

"Yesterday I met Mr. Erick (Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir) and Mr. Hary Tanoe (media entrepreneur Hary Tanoesoedibjo)", he said in Solo, Antara, Friday, June 24.

At the meeting, it was confirmed that there were sponsors from SOEs, namely PT Angkasa Pura, PLN, and Telkom. "Next Monday, we will meet again, but we are definitely ready to help", he said.

Related to the agreement with Hary Tanoesoedibjo are the broadcasting rights. If sponsors are still lacking, they will be looked for again.

"Our budget for the ASEAN Para Games is minimal, only Rp. 375 billion. Later, there will be fewer sponsors, right there are private companies, there are SOEs", he said.

Previously, several preparations had been made by the Surakarta City Government as the co-host with the relevant ministries to hold the 2022 ASEAN Para Games.

The Indonesian Ministry of Health ensures the readiness of health services for athletes who will compete in the ASEAN Para Games.

Director of Productive Age and Elderly Health at the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Kartini Rustandi, said that some of the preparations included health services, environmental health, food hygiene, and food safety.

For health facilities, the readiness starts from hospitals to health centers in the Solo Raya area.

"Including health facilities in Semarang, because there is one activity in Semarang. Later there will also be health workers at each location of the match", he said. The prepared hospital is also adapted to the needs of the athletes, including the anticipation of injuries suffered by athletes. "There will also be a neurologist", he said.
