It Turns Out That Ade Armando Came To The SI BEM Demo In Front Of The DPR To Create YouTube Content

JAKARTA - Secretary of the Indonesian Movement for All (PIS), Nong Darol Mahmada, urged the police to act quickly to arrest the perpetrators of the beating of his friend Ade Armando.

Ade Armando was beaten badly by a group of people when the All-Indonesian Student Executive Board (BEM SI) held a demonstration in front of the Jakarta Parliament Building on Monday, April 11. In fact, said Nong Darol, the lecturer at the University of Indonesia (UI) who came to mingle with the masses just to create YouTube content.

Nong Darol emphasized that the perpetrators must be brought to justice for their actions in making Ade battered. He asked the perpetrators to be severely punished.

"I, we, request that the authorities arrest the perpetrators of the attack as soon as possible. Once again we ask that the perpetrators of the violence, assault, and beating of Bang Ade and his friends in the PIS movement be arrested as soon as possible and put on trial, punished with the severest form," said Nong Darol in a virtual press conference, Monday, April 11.

Nong explained that Ade Armando mingled with the mass of demonstrators in front of the House of Representatives (DPR) Building with the content team of the Indonesian Movement for All (PIS) movement. He said that the moment of demonstration in front of the Parliament Complex in Senayan Jakarta yesterday was deliberately visited by Ade and his team to create PIS content.

Nong rejected Ade's arrival at the demonstration site because he voiced the same demands as BEM SI. He emphasized that Ade did not come to the demonstration site to refuse the postponement of the general election or a three-term presidential election, as stated by one of the social media accounts.

"One of the PIS movements creates content and this action event will be used as content for the Indonesian Movement for All (PIS) movement. So it's not true what one of the accounts on social media said that Bang Ade joined in is not true, because indeed there is a purpose to participate in the action this afternoon," he said.

Ade Armando is known to be a figure who often defends the policies of President Joko Widodo and rejects those who are against the government.

In the documentation obtained by VOI, Ade Armando appears to have suffered injuries to his face as a result of being hit by a group of people during a student mass action in front of the DPR Building on Monday, April 11 afternoon.

Ade's pants were also taken off. He was hurriedly embraced by the police into the gates of the DPR to be secured from beatings.
