If The COVID-19 Case Gets Crazy, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah Is Prepared To Be An Isolation Location

JAKARTA - The case of COVID-19 in Indonesia continues to climb at a speed that should make us anxious. If the spread becomes increasingly unstoppable, Graha Wisata Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) is prepared to be a place of isolation for COVID-19 patients without symptoms.

Head of the Graha Wisata TMII Unit, Yayang Kustiawan, said the place was ready to accommodate COVID-19 patients, in the event of a spike in cases like what happened in mid-2021.

"In principle, currently Graha Wisata TMII is ready to be used, both in terms of infrastructure, officers, and location," said Yayang Kustiawan in Jakarta, Monday, February 7, quoted from Antara.

Yayang added that for now, his party is still waiting for a further decision from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government regarding this matter.

"The capacity is still the same as 41 rooms, it can accommodate as many as 100 patients," said Yayang.

Previously, the Sub-coordinator for Emergency and Handling of DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Wardaya said that the integrated isolation places at Graha Wisata Ragunan and TMII would be opened in stages according to the development of COVID-19 cases.

This is based on the provisions of an integrated self-isolation place that has been regulated in Governor's Decree Number 891 of 2021.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has designated 184 locations as integrated self-isolation sites, including Graha Wisata Ragunan and TMII.

Meanwhile, the DKI Jakarta Health Office has prepared 11,500 additional bed units for COVID-19 patients from the previous number of 5.678 units to anticipate a surge in COVID-19 cases.

Head of the Disease Prevention and Control Division of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Dwi Oktavia, said the number of COVID-19 referral hospitals remained at 140 locations. but the bed capacity is increasing.
